Well here is the new/improved children's half of our adoption booklet. Since I moved to MS Publisher the pictures are crisper. I have used some photo editing tools to bring out the colors, but in the document's conversion to jpg, its lost some of the luster. I also have noticed that some of the pictures looked yellowed in the jpg. They don't look like that in the book (I don't think).

You two should look into publishing a children's book. I've heard there is a fortune it it. You can self publish your first attempt. Anyway, it is a thought.
Technical
I wouldn't worry too much about the colors on the screen. Wait until you print it. If you were using MS Word before I can understand that almost any software will have superior visual effects. I cannot say anything for MS publisher though. Good luck with it.
